NYNEHEAD Court hosted an extra special party last week for resident Alec Smith and his wife Ann, who were celebrating their Diamond wedding anniversary.

They were married on April 2, 1959 and Nynehead Court pulled out all the stops to make their Diamond anniversary a memorable day.
As well as inviting friends to celebrate with the happy couple, the home arranged for a special cake to be made and guests were entertained by violinist Abigail.
Mr and Mrs Smith’s many cards and gifts included a telegram from the Queen, organised by their daughter Alison.
Home manager Angela Watkins said: “Celebrating 60 years of marriage is a wonderful achievement, and we hope Alec and Ann enjoyed their day.”
