THE Beambridge Inn at Sampford Arundel was the venue when people who attend the DeafPLUS Communication Skills/Lipreading Group celebrated the end of

term.

It was not an easy situation for diners because of the background noise but they all enjoyed the challenge of a social get-together.

Anna Bell, from the group, said: “Deafness can be very isolating and people stop doing things they enjoy because it’s hard work and often humiliating – but not us!”
