Wiveliscombe’s Annual Clean up Day on Saturday brought the best

response ever.

Thirty-eight people, including seven children, turned up in the Square to collect their rubbish bags and disposable gloves and then to head off into the lanes and alleyways of Wiveliscombe to litter pick, sweep and clean the town.

Organised by Wiveliscombe Civic and Historical Society, the Clean up Day has become a regular feature in the town calendar but this year more locals responded than ever.
