A WELLINGTON School student has been selected for the prestigious National Youth Theatre.

Year 12 pupil Isaac Hines (pictured) underwent a rigorous audition process in March. And now he has discovered that he will spend part of the summer taking part in masterclasses and performances at the premier institution NYT in Northampton.

Isaac recently triumphed as Enjrolras, the charismatic leader of the revolutionaries in the highly acclaimed production of Les Miserables at Wellington School, and is thrilled to be continuing his dramatic studies.

Established in 1956 as the world’s first youth theatre, it has a fine reputation as a world-leading youth arts organisation.

Over the years it has nurtured the talent of hundreds of thousands of young people, with world renowned alumni including Helen Mirren, Daniel Craig, Daniel Day-Lewis, Orlando Bloom, Ben Kingsley and many more.
