Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a good week.

On Thursday, I kept on building my rocket by covering the cardboard and paper with glue until it became hard. This will make the rocket super strong. I had to leave it to dry so I read my book ‘Gangsta Granny’ for the rest of the day.

On Friday, my rocket was dry, so I could start painting it. At first I had to cut out small circles for windows, and mix the paint to the right colour. I decided to paint the main body of the rocket light blue, and the top of the rocket red. I then left the paint to dry for the afternoon while I played Fifa with Toby online – I won every game!

On Saturday, I really wanted to finish my rocket and mum had managed to find coloured napkins at the supermarket. I used the red, orange and yellow napkins to create the fire coming out of the rocket engines – it looked great! The weather was nice on Saturday so we had a barbecue outside. Dad let me help him cook burgers, sausages and corn on the cob, it was delicious!

On Sunday, I tried to do some more research about rockets to go with my model. Did you know that the first rocket went into space in 1942? Today rockets are used to send satellites and supplies up into space. That night, we had a roast dinner and it was really nice. I spoke to Toby on the phone that evening then went to bed after reading some more of my book.

On Monday I tried to do some schoolwork but I am really struggling with my times tables – they are so hard! I had to ask mum for help and when she tested me I found learning them much easier. I made sandwiches for the whole family at lunch time and mum and dad were very grateful. In the afternoon I watched the film ‘Zootropolis’, which is so funny – it’s about a police bunny solving crime in a big city filled with animals!

On Tuesday it was really sunny so I relaxed outside and read my book all morning. At lunch we had delicious fruit like watermelon and pineapple which mum had bought from the shop. With the rest of the fruit we made ice lollies by putting the leftovers into ice lolly moulds, then later that day we would have yummy lollies! What a great week!
