AN open day on Sunday (August 30) will see miniature train rides available in West Buckland
Taunton Model Engineers, which has built a small railway in a field off Stoford Lane, is opening its doors from 2 pm to 5 pm.
It will be the third open afternoon of the year for its four-acre West Buckland Miniature Railway.
A spokesperson said: “It is also a chance for us to celebrate the club’s 80th birthday in our own little way by sharing the day with you all.”
Car parking will be signed for a field next door to the site.
Rides on the club’s raised track, which is similar to one it has in Taunton’s Vivary Park, will be £1, while the larger and longer ground track will be £2.
