THE Milverton Street Fair on Bank Holiday Monday ran into rain – but, fortunately, it did not dampen the spirits of fair-goers to this annual charity event.

“I think many had seen the forecast and came in the morning,” said Julian Dakowski, who was in charge of the fair”s entertainment. “It was certainly very well attended in the morning. In fact, people were there very early this year.”

More than 100 stalls were squeezed into the village’s narrow roads and gardens. The day was kept buzzing with crazy street acts and live street music – all family-friendly and inviting.

The fair is devised, promoted and organised by The Milverton Trust, a registered charity run by an elected body of trustees and volunteer members drawn from the local community.

Cash raised goes to local organisations, societies and charities.
