PRE-school pupils in Stawley will have a special visit next month from Father Christmas and his helpers.
Santa will pop into the pre-school’s Christmas party, which is being held from 4 pm to 6 pm on Friday, December 12.
The party is open to all children from birth to year two and promises something for everybody, with crafts, games, music, a quiet space with a movie, and messy play, and cakes and hot drinks for grown-ups.
Stawley Primary School executive headteacher Jacqui Collier said: “At Stawley Pre-school, we could not be luckier with the supportive community we are part of.
“We love to visit the local shop and walk around the lanes and fields, waving to drivers and people in their gardens.
“We are always looking for ways to bring experiences and opportunities to our children.
“In the past, we have had visits from care home residents, local farmers and their animals, musicians, and we are talking to local artists about some exciting ideas at the moment.
“If you have a skill or interest you think would be good to share, we would love to hear from you.”
Ms Collier said party tickets were £5, and free for children aged under one year.
She said: “If you do not have little ones, you can still get involved in supporting the pre-school to raise funds for our garden renovation and enrichment opportunities with our ‘Lambing Bingo’.
“Tickets will be on sale from Stawley Shop from December 12, or pop into the party to buy your bingo card.”
Ms Collier thanked local people who had donated items to the pre-school.
She said: “We are always looking for random things to use in play, from buttons to cardboard boxes, we are usually happy to take things off your hands.”
