SAMPFORD Arundel’s fete raised £1,300 which, after expenses are deducted, will be shared between village organisations.

After a slow start the village green soon became filled. 10 Radio provided music and commentary throughout the afternoon. The children’s races were very popular, as were the adult races. The couple’s sack race in a large dompy bag provided great entertainment.

The event finished with the usual of Praise on the Sunday evening on the village green celebrating its 25th year.

The organisers would like to thank everyone who attended and all the stallholders – particularly those who helped with setting up and taking down.
