Record crowds braved gale force winds and heavy rain to flock to Wellington's Food Town Fair this week.
More than 12,000 people turned out to enjoy the event which was held at Wellington School.
A wide range of stalls featured a variety of of locally-produced food and drink.
Fortunately, the rain held off for the opening on Saturday morning by royal chefs, John and Nikki Giles-Larkin, which was preceded by a procession through the town led by the Wellington Majorettes.
The weather stayed reasonably fine, and soon thousands were thronging the marquee where 65 stallholders were kept busy giving out free samples and selling their wares.
