WELLINGTON Medical Centre in Mantle Street is providing a new service – for the treatment of haemorrhoids.

The eXroid clinic provides electrotherapy treatment for haemorrhoids which leads to a reduced blood supply – thereby reducing the size of the haemorrhoid.

Specialists at the clinic say most patients will only need two ten-to-15 minute sessions, and there’s a high success rate after one.

A spokesman for the clinic said the treatment is non-invasive and causes minimal discomfort, meaning patients can return to their normal activities soon after treatment.
