OVERCAST weather did not spoil the atmosphere as hundreds of people enjoyed the annual Holcombe Rogus Church Fete on Saturday (July 13).
The fete again took place in the rarely opened landscaped gardens of Holcombe Court, courtesy of owner Nigel Wiggins, which is recognised as one of the finest manor houses in the Westcountry.

Christmas at the Wellesley returns with festive talent showcaseThe proceeds, which usually total several thousands of pounds, go to support All Saints’ Parish Church.
The event was organised by churchwarden John McIlwain, who said it was one of the best to have been put on in the village.
Entertainment included high quality stalls and children’s games while afternoon teas were also provided.
Some exotic entertainment was provided by Indian dancing group Bollygals who returned for a second year.
The ‘resident’ Tiverton Town Band performed again and there was an appearance by folk instrumental ensemble Wasp in the Apple, also making a return for a second year.
