HOSPICE Hounds is a new virtual contest where dog and puppy owners can show off their pets while raising funds for St Margaret’s Hospice Care.
There are three age categories and the winners will win a rosette. Entrants should send in a photograph of their dog and, if possible, give a donation to the hospice.
Kara Frampton, area fundraising manager at St Margaret’s Hospice Care, said: “By donating £10, you could be helping towards to cost of books to support a recently bereaved child.”
All entries will then be posted in an album of their category on St Margaret’s Facebook page for voting. The winner is the photo of the dog with the most likes or loves. Entries will close at 9am on Monday, August 10.
St Margaret’s Hospice cared for 4,900 people across Somerset affected by a variety of life-limiting illnesses last year. The charity needs to raise in excess of £12 million each year to deliver its range of care and support.
