KNITTERS from the Wellington area will be able to enjoy a steam train ride to the seaside and help wildlife next week.

Somerset Wildlife Trust has teamed up with West Somerset Railway and Miles Tea and Coffee for a Steam Tea Wildlife Special train ride on Thursday (October 27).

The trip can be enjoyed by anyone but knitters will have the chance to be the first to try the new Knit For Nature knitting pattern Boris The Barn Owl. The vintage afternoon tea-time adventure leaves Bishops Lydeard at 2.45pm, travels to Minehead and returns by 5.45pm.

Tickets cost £19.50 – for more details contact West Somerset Railway on 01643 704996.
