STUDENTS from Court Fields School in Wellington have been helping pupils in primary school in their language lessons.
The Year 9 Language Leaders last week received certificates recognising their achievement in teaching French to younger pupils.
The national programme aims to inspire young people to enjoy learning a language and promote the development of leadership skills in young people.
Mrs Payne, who established the programme at Court Fields last year, said: “Students have delivered lessons with great enthusiasm and professionalism.
“It is a great scheme to learn leadership skills which will support students in their future careers.”
