A WOMAN who attacked a six-months pregnant hairdresser in a Wellington town centre street has been sentenced by magistrates after pleading guilty to the assault.
Ellie Hogg, of Taunton, who also worked as a hairdresser, appeared before Taunton magistrates on charges of assault by beating and causing criminal damage to property valued at less than £5,000.
Magistrates ordered her to complete up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity under the supervision of the probation service by October 12 next year.
Hogg assaulted The Shack hairdressers co-owner Chantz Crane in Fore Street on April 29 leaving her with a black eye and other injuries.
Ms Crane has since given birth to a daughter.
Hogg was also fined £100 and ordered to pay £350 victim’s compensation.
