A WELLINGTON man who caused alarm and distress with threats to another man in the town and then resisted arrest by a police officer has been ordered to carry out community rehabilitation activities.
Peter Weeks, aged 40, of Quantock Road, appeared for sentencing in Taunton Deane Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 21.
Prosecuting solicitor Maree Doyle said both offences happened on December 16 last year and Weeks had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing on March 16.
The magistrates ordered Weeks to carry out up to 25 days of rehabilitation work within the next 12 months under the supervision of the probation service.
Weeks was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 compensation and a victim fund surcharge of £48.
