SWEET Black Angels, a melodic rock band, will be playing two free one-hour sets at the Ostler Inn, Uffculme, on Saturday (August 26).

It will be their second free gig at the Ostler. After a powerful set at the Uffculme Music & Real Ale Festival, Simon Stimson, landlord of the popular Uffculme hostelry, asked them if they would like to perform at his pub. They did and went down so well last month they were immediately invited back again.

The band formed in 2003 with a promotion and distribution deal following in 2004. Their debut album ‘Beneath Shadows’ was subsequently released in January 2005.

Two download singles from the album have been played on radio stations around the world. Their first single ‘I Know What You’re Thinking’ has been played on internet radio stations and Planet Rock, while Envy, the second single, has also been played on internet stations and XFM.
