BLACKDOWN Hills AONB and the National Trust will get the festive season under way with an evening of carol singing led by Blackdown Community Choir at Wellington Monument on Friday (December 8).

The event has become a popular feature in the Blackdown Hills calendar with last year’s event seeing several hundred people take part in the festivities.

Wellington Monument will be lit up for the occasion and a bonfire will keep visitors warm, with hot drinks and festive refreshments for sale provided by Smeatharpe WI.
