THE efforts of scores of community-spirited people in the Wellington area have been recognised with Angel of Hope awards.

The Angel of Hope project, organised St John’s Church in the town, invited people to nominate ‘everyday angels’ who have made a positive difference during the Covid-19 crisis.

More than 150 certificates have been awarded to people of all ages in Wellington and surrounding villages.

Rev Selina Garner said:: “The people who were given awards this year are our everyday angels and they all deserve to be on a Wellington New Year Honours list.”
