MORE than 200 homes and businesses in Wellington are without power, National Grid have confirmed today (Monday, February 16).

At 2.30 pm, National Grid confirmed that 206 properties within Rockwell Green were without power.

National Grid said it estimated it would resolve the problem by 5.30 pm.

The power cut was reportedly caused by a fault on a high voltage power line in the area.

The blackout has caused the Rockwell Green crossroads traffic lights to go out.

A spokesperson for National Grid, said: “We were alerted at 2:31 pm this afternoon and our engineers are working to get the electricity back on as quickly as possible.

“We are sorry for the disruption.”
