JEREMY Browne MP, whose consituency covers Wellington, has been to talk to micro-biologists takling superbugs at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.

Mr Browne told the WWN: "There is widespread public anxiety about infections like MRSA.

"It was fascinating to find out more about the scientific work being done to tackle MRSA and other serious infections.

"By sending patient samples to the laboratory before operations, special efforts can be made to identify and isolate possible sources of infection.
