A SECTION of the footpath that runs through the playing field will become inaccessible for four days to allow resurfacing works.

The narrow path which is known to get wet and muddy will be reprofiled and widened to improve drainage by the contractors R W Gale Ltd.

This work will take place between April 6 and April 10, meaning that for this period the path will be inaccessible.

To reduce the impact on the public as much as possible, the work will be completed during the school holidays.

After discussions with the contractor, the council has elected to close off the playing field for the duration of the works.

Walkers have been asked to utilise other routes while the path is being resurfaced.
