MARTIN Pearce has been named the new musical director of Wellington Silver Band.

Mr Pearce said his first outing as MD at the Wellington Film Festival ‘couldn’t have been better.’ He said: “I can say with all sincerity that I couldn’t have been happier with the way they played and, very proud to be leading them.

“I am, very much, looking forward to the coming season.”
