COMMUNITY groups or schools in need of a new kitchen could be in luck thanks to a firm which has premises in Wellington and Wiveliscombe.

The Room Works, sister company of RGB Building Supplies, is giving away a premium kitchen worth £9,700 but organisations which want it will have to hurry up to apply.

It hosted workshops and demonstrations at The Great Food & Drink Show at Westpoint, Exeter, on Saturday, and is now giving away the kitchen.

RGB Building Supplies has been giving away £1,000 of building materials every other month since 2014 to deserving groups, charities and schools as part of its Well Built Community Fund.

RGB would like to hear from community groups or schools which would like to create or update their kitchen areas. Up to ten finalists will be chosen from the nominations to go through to a vote in which the public will be asked to decide who receives the kitchen.

RGB Wellington branch manager Paul Fleming said: “Kitchen areas are essential for a wide range of groups, charities, schools and care homes in the local area, and we’re delighted to be able to give them a chance to win a fantastic new kitchen. We look forward to hearing about how it could transform a space.”

To apply, groups should contact RGB explaining how a new kitchen would benefit them. Nominations can be made by email to [email protected] or by post to RGB Community Fund, c/o PMW Communications, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon, EX39 9DU. The closing date for nominations is Sunday, September 30.
