NYNEHEAD Court will host its first open gardens event of 2024 on March 17.

The National Garden Scheme (NGS) will have a number of events held at various properties across the country.

The care home, near Wellington, will host the event from 2pm until 4.30pm.

Home manager Joanne Fenn said: “Our NGS Open Gardens events are always popular, and we are delighted to welcome visitors back in 2024. This is a wonderful initiative which raises money for many good causes.” 

These events are always well-attended by enthusiasts eager to see the home’s 14 acres during different seasons. Spring is always a wonderful time of year at the home, with daffodils, tulips and crocuses in full bloom.

Head gardener Justin Cole will be hold one of his popular garden tours at 2pm, and tea and cake will be available in the Orangery throughout the afternoon.  Entry costs £6.50 for adults, with no charge for accompanying children. 

The Nynehead Court Estate offers gracious retirement living for older people requiring residential care or close care housing.  Set in 18 acres of parkland, it is registered to provide residential care for 44 people within the court and close care housing for 11 retirees/couples within the Mews.
