PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, from licensing for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works.
Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities.
Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Somerset Council in Wellington:
Waste service seeks licence for operations in Wellington
EMS Waste Services Ltd of Hillbarton Business Park, Clyst St Mary, Exeter, is applying for a licence to use Wellington Waste, The Old Brickworks, Higher Poole, Wellington, as an operating centre for 20 goods vehicles.
Owners or occupiers of land near the operating centre who believe that their use or enjoyment of that land would be affected, should make written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE, within 21 days of this notice.
Langford Budville Road to close for one day
Somerset Council have ordered that Langford Budville Road, Langford Budville, will be temporarily closed from its junction with Ritherdons Lane, for a length of 111 metres.
This order has been put in place to enable Openreach to carry out poling works.
The works are expected to take place over the course of six hours, starting at 9.30am and concluding at 3.30pm on Tuesday, December 16.
Butts Way closed for pole replacement
An order has been made to temporarily close Butts Way, Milverton, from its junction with Sand Street, for a total length of 412 metres.
This is to enable Openreach to conduct work with regards to the replacement of a pole.
This road is expected to stay closed for six hours, starting at 9.30am and concluding at 3.30pm on Thursday, December 4.
Road closure in Bathealton
Road Hill, Bathealton, will face a temporary closure from its junction with Stawley Road, heading eastwards for a total distance of 684 metres.
Somerset Council have put this order in place to enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement works.
The works are set to take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Wednesday, December 3.
Roadchef makes Premises Licence application
Roadchef Motorway Ltd, which operate a location at the M5 Taunton Deane Services, has applied to Somerset Council for a Premises Licence.
The proposed licensable activities are the sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises from 8am until 11pm daily, and the provision of late-night refreshment from 11pm until 5am daily.
