PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works.

Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities.

Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Somerset Council in Wellington:

• Application 25/01121/HOUSE - Battens Farm, Clayhidon, Cullompton, EX15 3QD - The erection of two storey extension and installation of ground floor window following demolition of existing garden room; extension to annexe following demolition of existing garden room, replacement of door on front elevation to two windows and internal alterations.

• Application 25/01122/LBC - Battens Farm, Clayhidon, Cullompton, EX15 3QD - Application for listed building consent for the erection of two storey extension and installation of ground floor window following demolition of existing garden room and replacement of three windows; extension to annexe following demolition of existing garden room, replacement of door on front elevation to two windows and internal alterations.

• Application 25/01144/FULL - Lower Herne, Ash Thomas, Tiverton, EX16 4NL - The erection of a self build dwelling following demolition of existing dwelling.

• Halse Road, Bishop’s Lydard, will be closed from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday, September 26, in order to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing.

• East Nynehead Road, Bradford-on-Tone, will be closed from 11.45pm on Saturday, September 27, to 8am on Sunday, September 28, in order to enable Network rail to carry out level crossing maintenance works.

• Dash Logistics Services trading as Dash Express of Unit 2, Barncoose Industrial Estate, Barncoose, is applying for a licence to use Unit U /Y3 at Langlands Business Park, Uffculme Rd, Willand, as an operating centre for four goods vehicles and four trailers.

• Application 43/25/0070/A - Affects the character of a conservation area planning for a display of vinyl branded non illuminated signage on ATM at telephone kiosk, 11 High Street, Wellington.

• Application 38/25/0282/LB - Listed building consent for various repairs including the removal and replacement of infected timber, crack stitching and removal of hazardous parapet due to dry rot and water damage at 17 East Street, Taunton (retention of part works already undertaken).

• Application 25/01144/FULL - The erection of a self build dwelling following demolition of existing dwelling at Lower Herne, Ash Thomas, Tiverton
