Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9pm May 7 to 6am May 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 to junction 24 carriageway closure for bridge maintenance, diversion via A358 Toneway and A38.

A30, from 8pm April 1 2025 to 4am April 1 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm May 15 to 6am May 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27 - lane closure for barrier works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
