A REMEMBRANCE evening will be held in Rockwell Green for Holocaust Memorial Day on Tuesday, January 27, the only service of its kind this year in the Taunton Deane area.

The service, which starts at 7 pm in The Well Church, will also remember those killed, injured, and taken hostage in the 2023 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel.

Christian Friends of Israel has held the service every year since 2002, apart from during the Covid pandemic.

Spokeswoman Marion Threlfall said: “From 2002, the world has recognised that we need to remember the Holocaust, what it was, how it affected us all, not just Jewish people.

“We must try not to forget their suffering and what was lost to the world because of the Holocaust.”
