AN event organised ‘by the village for the village’ was held at West Buckland Hall on Saturday – and proved a great success.

Despite his busy schedule making guest appearances before the Big Day, Father Christmas dropped in on the free fair. All organisations in the village – which includes the church and school – will benefit from the proceeds.
