SHEPPY’S House of Cider at Bradford-on-Tone will be staging the ancient tradition of wassailing on Friday with a 6.45pm start (the gate opens at 5pm).

The event seeks to drive away evil spirits in the orchard and ensure a plentiful harvest.

The last admission for cars is 6.15pm and folk dancing will follow the wassailing at 7.45pm. Food will be available before and after the event.
