Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 8pm March 2 to 5am March 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for urgent carriageway repairs, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.

M5, from 8pm March 1 to 5am March 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for urgent carriageway repairs, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.

M5, from 8pm February 27 to 4am March 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 24 to junction 25 50 mph speed limits for urgent carriageway repairs.

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm March 6 to 5am March 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 24 to 25 lane closures for electrical works.

M5, from 8pm March 9 to 5am March 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for urgent carriageway repairs, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
