SPEEDING drivers are causing danger and damage on one of Wellington’s new housing estates on the outskirts of the town and efforts are to be made to get them to slow down before anyone is hurt.

It is a particular problem on the Cades Farm development in the Damson Road area and has been made worse since a speed-reducing feature was removed after a road was resurfaced.

John Brewster, who moved into Damson Road in February last year, had his parked car hit by a passing vehicle which did not stop and which caused damage of about £2,000. The accident happened between Thursday evening and Friday morning.
