Students and staff at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington have taken to the stage to celebrate World Book Day.
The English lead, Mrs Halina Bayfield led an assembly dressed as farmer Boggis of Fantastic Mr Fox fame. She was joined on stage by some of the best dressed pupils and a collection of foxes and pigs.
On World Book Day classes at Beech Grove read books to one another and took part in different book related activities.
The child who had read the most in each class was awarded a book as a prize from Mrs Bayfield.
Year 6 student Aurora read over 1.4 million words throughout the year.
