Schedules for the Wellington Summer Flower Show on Saturday, August 27, are available.
They can be picked up from the town library and Nurtured by Nature, Interiors and Flowers and several garden centres in the area.
The show will have classes for growers, cooks, craftspeople, photographers and artists, as well as flower arrangers. Children can keep busy over the summer holidays painting, drawing, snapping photos or creating jewellery, a wind catcher or items made out of junk.
The event is ‘open’, so anyone can enter, whether they live in Wellington or not. New exhibitors would be made most welcome.
People can enter by leaving an entry form at the library or Nurtured by Nature, sending it to the show secretary, Sheena Page, or by entering online.
The show is again being held at Wellington School’s Alan Rogers Centre (next to the Sports Centre) and there will be plants for sale, a raffle, refreshments and plenty of parking.
To find out more about the flower show, contact Sheena Page on 01823 662366 or by email at [email protected]
