AFTER waiting more than 10 years for an official town council flagpole to be replaced in Wellington, residents have seen the newly-installed pole removed after 10 days.
The council restored the flagpole and raised the Union flag on the front of its Fore Street offices on June 5, only for it to disappear again this week.

“It will be reinstated as soon as the work has been completed.”
The guttering issue became apparent after recent torrential rainfall in the town.
