SUPPORTERS of Somerset Wildlife Trust are getting the chance to travel in style with the West Somerset Railway for a special fundraising event on Thursday, October 24.

Passengers on the Steam Tea Wildlife Special will enjoy a traditional West Country cream tea sponsored by Miles Tea and Coffee.

The journey starts at Bishops Lydeard at 12.40pm, and passengers will travel behind a steam locomotive to Minehead, where they can hop off and explore. Cream tea will then be served in two specially reserved carriages on the train leaving Minehead at 2.30pm and arriving in Bishops Lydeard at 3.52pm.

All proceeds will go towards the work of Somerset Wildlife Trust – safeguarding the county’s wildlife and wild places.

Tickets are £25 adult, £15 children under ten. A small booking fee is also charged. Wheelchair-accessible seats are available and should be selected at the time of booking through the Somerset Wildlife website ‘steam tea’ link.
