THE Green Dragon pub in South Street, Wellington, closed on Saturday.

Forty-eight year old landlady Ruth Pike, who has run the old-fashioned pub for 16 years, is being evicted and will be leaving the premises today.

"It is going to be a very sad day for me," she said on Monday. "I have tried to keep the business going as long as I could.
