CONSERVATIVE candidate James Hunt was voted on to Wellington Town Council last night by electors in Rockwell Green.
The count ended in a tie between Mr Hunt and Labour candidate Bill Sparrow, and the result was settled when Mr Hunt's name was pulled out in a lottery.
The result was as follows:
James Hunt (Conservative) 213 votes; Mark Lithgow (Liberal Democrat) 104 votes; Bill Sparrow (Labour) 212 votes.
Some. The turnout was 28.8% with 528 votes cast.
