SOMERSET Council say it will not be providing a shuttle service for Wellington Megabus users after the service announced it would halt operations from June 15.

The Falcon Megabus — which provides transport between Bristol and Plymouth — will be halting its services from June 15 until September 19 due to the upcoming closure of M5 Junction 26.

In communication with Wellington resident Tiffany Paige Hawkings, a Megabus customer service operator said that a shuttle bus service would be provided to transport passengers to alternative Falcon Megabus stops.

The operator said the shuttle service “should be run by the local councils”.

Somerset Council has since confirmed there are no plans to provide a shuttle, but the public bus services will continue to run to and from the Wellington area.
