A WELLINGTON company has walked away with a top prize in this year’s Somerset Education Business Partnership (EBP) awards.
MK Test Systems, of Westpark, Chelston, is a world-leading manufacturer of automatic electrical test systems.
It won the award for the ‘careers inspiration in business’ category for medium-size companies which inspire young people about future career opportunities.
Somerset County Council also picked up two honours at the awards, for its work supporting young people faced with disadvantages in getting work opportunities, and for the way its highways team delivered social and community benefits throughout the pandemic.
EBP connects employers and education providers, helping young people understand the many opportunities available in the county and to develop the skills needed for a successful career.
