THE oldest known Wellington resident has celebrated her 107th birthday.
Grace Rasch, who has been congratulated on her advancing years by both the late Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III, turned 107 on Thursday, June 19.
Born in Southampton in 1918, Grace has contributed her time to the war effort during the Second World War when she worked as an ambulance driver in Harrow. She also had a career in accounting, a life in Bilbao, Spain, and a lot of tennis.
On her 106th birthday, Grace said it was” keeping active and an odd drink of gin” that had contributed to her longevity.
