WELLINGTON goalkeeper Shay Allen has been suspended for one game following his sending off away to Nailsea & Tickenham last week.

It means he will not be able to play in the FA Vase first qualifying tie against Okehampton at Tiverton on Saturday.

However, Allen badly bruised his foot in the incident involving his eventual dismissal and would not have been able to play.

Wellington will be calling up Rhys Williams to replace Allen for Saturday’s game.

“This is Rhys’s chance to show what he can do.” said Wellington’s assistant player-manager Jack Porter. “Rhys played in a couple of our friendlies."
