ASHBRITTLE maintained their 100 per cent record at the top of the second division in the West Somerset League with a convincing home win over Wiveliscombe's second string last weekend.

Wiveliscombe, who won the toss and decided to bat first, scored 123 all out in 34.3 overs with Allister Carolussen hitting 40 and Chris Walls 37. These were the only batters to reach double figures against the bowling of Oliver White (5-19) and Callum White (4.20).

Ashbrittle needed only 20 overs to knock off the runs with Andy Hill unbeaten on 59 and Ollie Edwards scoring 26. Warren Heynes and Adam Keay were the only bowlers to take wickets.

Ashbrittlle are home again tomorrow against East Huntspill and will be looking for their eighth straight win in the division.
