They followed up their success in winning the Payne Challenge Cup by beating Here 4 the Beer in the Chris Bullock Championship to stay 100 per cent. Chalking up their 16th successive victory, they won by 32 pins with Dave Gardiner and skipper Adrian Perry both knocking 52s. Ross Cobley was H4TB’s top skittler with 47. United Services 382, Mowers 448: Mowers bounced back from the defeat by Odds & Ends to knock a splendid 448 with Darren Winter and Vince Milton both smashing impressive 67s. Phil John and Paul Fancy hit 56 apiece for United Services.

WRFC 329, Foresters 348: Foresters maintained their push for a top-three finish at the Conservative Club, running out 19 pin winners with Steve Wadham and Aron Lockyer both chipping in with 49s while Dave Harper was the rugby boys’ top scorer with 46.

Odds & Ends 370, Outsiders 403: Rob Larcombe topped the scoring for Outsiders in the 400-plus score with a fine 58, while captain Nick Timewell scored 53 for Odds & Ends.

Scuppas 365, All Stars 323: Scuppas picked up a convincing 42-pin victory at the Cottage with John Barker once again leading from the front with a fine 55 while Tony Winchester hit 47 for All Stars.

Home Guard IV 372, Nynehead Club 341: Home Guard IV gained a vital win as they moved off the bottom of the table with Mal Passmore being the standout performer on the night with an excellent 61 on the upstairs alley at the Conservative Club. Dan Manicini hit 48 for the Club.

Meanwhile Relyon, leaders in the Gerald Thorne Championship, kept ahead of the field with an impressive 25-pin success on the upstairs alley at the Con Club - thanks to a superb 65 by Jason Hayes anchoring the Bedders. Skipper Daren Mason was Queens Legs’ leading scorer with 55. Scores: Queens Legs 377, Relyon 402.

Club Rockers 353, Bell Green 368: Bell Green kept up the pressure at the top with a 15-pin win away to the Rockers at the Institute. Chris Hemmings knocked 51 for the Rockers while Paul Rowlandson and Will Essex steered home the Bee-Gees with 50s.

Shooters 383, Holywell Lake 404: The Lakers won the Victoria Arms derby to keep within touching distance at the top of the table with a hard-fought 21-pin success. However, Adrian Maidment was top of the alley with a magnificent 69 for Shooters, while the Lakers showed their all-round quality with Dave Howells leading the way with 60.

Cottage Pies 343, Report Centre A 287: Pies claimed a comfortable home win over out-of-sorts RCA with a 56-pin victory - with Jordan Perry being their leading scorer with 52. M Hobbs scored 41 for RCA.

OBA 359, Reservists 379: Reservists continued their climb up the table with a 20-pin away win over OBA on the upstairs alley at the Vic with Phil Powell scoring 55. Andy Kempt knocked 54 for OBA.

Home Guard II 324, Rebels 325: Rebels edged a thrilling game at the Football Club with Howard Elliott and Baz Winter both scoring 48s. Andy Davey was Home Guard’s top scorer with 50.

Hot Shots 343, Oaks 323: Edd Chivers (53) led Hot Shots to a 20-pin success at the Con Club, while Iain Andrews scored 45 for the losers.
