RUGBY is in short supply this weekend with both Wellington and Wiveliscombe being without first team games.

Wellington's head coach Graham Dawe has mixed views on not playing. "It is, what it is," said the former Bath, Sale Sharks and Plymouth Albion player today. "However, it does give players such as Ash Harney a chance to get over niggling injuries."

Wellington are lying sixth in Regional Two South West, having won three and lost two of their opening five matches, both defeats coming after good first half displays.

Wiveliscombe, who have lost all five of the matches in Counties One Western West, probably welcome the break. They have not played badly at all this season but simply cannot get over the line despite being competitive.

The clubs' 2nd XVs both have home games in Counties Three Somerset South tomorrow. Wellington play Bridgwater & Albion while Wiveliscombe face Tor.

Meanwhile, Wellington and Wiveliscombe's first teams will be back in action tomorrow week. Welllington are home to Topsham while Wiveliscombe are away to Bude who are only one place above them in the table.
