WELLINGTON were held to a goalless home draw by Street in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League yesterday (Sat).

Chasing their third victory in succession, Wellington created the better chances in a scrappy game but never looked very dangerous in front of goal.

The game needed someone to put their foot on the ball but too often passes went astray - and every aspect of play was rushed.

Wellington, playing down the slope in the second half, had most of the play but failed to put the finishing touches to some good build-up play.

Wellington, who have now drawn seven of their matches this season, are away to Ilfracombe Town in a rearranged league game on Tuesday.

Meanwhile Wellington Reserves came from 2-0 down to beat University 3rds 3-2 away in the first division of the Devon and Exeter League. They have now gone ten matches without defeat.
