MEMBERS of Wellington Town Council have visited Wellington Bowling Club to see the refurbishments and alterations which have taken place.

These include a new roof, lighting, new kitchen cooker and hood. These alterations were part funded by a grants from council.

The councillors present enjoyed a very warm welcome with a tour of the new facilities, plus a free lesson of bowls.

The afternoon was enjoyed by a visiting team (Nomads) taking part in a match against Wellington. The sun was out and it was a beautiful setting.

An excellent buffet was also provided by the catering staff. The bowls club has splendid facilities.

Councillors present included: Mayor and Mayoress Bob and Liz Bowrah, Deputy Mayor and Consort Gary and Birgit James, Janet LLoyd, Janet Read, and Vivienne Stock-Williams.
