THIS year’s Mixed Triples competition at Wellington Bowling Club attracted an excellent turnout with 18 teams taking to the green — 54 players in total — for a full day of competitive and good spirited bowling.

After three keenly contested rounds, the finalists were Bill Warnett, Debbie Lane and Tony Stone against Darren Sparks, Andy Pearce and Diana Dagg. In a closely fought match, Bill, Debbie and Tony emerged as the 2026 champions.

The club was delighted to welcome Scott Kingdom, business manager at Oaktree Court Care Home, who kindly presented the winners’ shield to Bill, Debbie and Tony.

The club is very grateful to Oaktree Court for their continued support and sponsorship. Their involvement has played an important part in helping to maintain the club and keep membership costs down.
